I noticed the weight of the GX has increase 11kg (24lbs). I presume this is due to increased sound deadening as the changes to the 2008.5 GX would not account for this increase.

alloy rims on it as well where the 08 had steelies. Could that add 24 lbs?

Maybe or it could actually be lighter.

I wonder if Mazda's Parts system would show the weight for each of these.
