Hey,

I bent a rim (factory rim) by hitting a giant pothole on 401. :flaming:
I went to dealer & they said I needed a new rim & of course gave me a crazy price.
Anyone know a place in GTA to get a rim for a cheaper??

Thanks in advance for any help!!

You can get it straightened out for around $100... Allen @ Simply Tire said he knows some companies that do a good job.

seriously, how strong are those snowflakes? There's some bumps or holes that you just can't avoid and I feel I hit them 1x or 2x hard (I think) but looking at the rims, they're still ok.

my car is almost 4 years old and until I went to see Allen @ Simply Tire to get my new summers on - I had no idea I had a bent rim. Allen didn't say I needed to get it fixed, but he put it on the back so I wouldn't feel it as much.

So in reality - it's not always visible that you have a bent rim. Those potholes can be killer :)

I didnt know my BACK rim was bent, I never ever went trough any potholes with my back rim nor hit any curbs ever. So yeah its definately not visible but doesnt create any other damage, infact I cant even tell if its bent or not..

You can fix that on your own, depending on the damage. I think everyone references this specific DIY page:

Why is this in the Shop/Service Review section?

Remember, if a pothole caused the damage, you can get the city to pay part of the damage, at least thats how it is where I live
