HELP!! i need to put a canoe on top of my 3 hatch...but i dont have the roof rack!

hey guys,

just wondering if anyone has an ideas about how i can mound a canoe on top of my car without the roof rack? i have those foam blocks....


i found the 2 loops under the car towards the rear end...but theres nothing to hook onto in the front?

i was thinking about screwing in the tow loop and tieing off to that BUT...its off center...so thats a problem because it wont let the canoe sit centered....

has anyone else tried going canoing without the roof rack before???????!!!!!

Post 12 talks about not using a rack. There are other things in that thread too such as where to hook stuff up.

The only thing I can think of at the front of the car is the center hood latch support bracket. This will require removal of your front grill.
