Keep an eye out for a Silver 2000 SIR

Hey guys,

Last night somewhere between 1-7am My brother-in-laws 2000 Civic SIR was stolen out of the driveway. There was rust near the sidewalk and think they towed it out of the area. It was in the area of Avonwick between Mavis and McLaughlin.

If anyone sees this car please call police reporting the stolen car or even post here with the area that you may have seen it in.

2000 Civic SIR (Silver)
License Plate: AFSF 834
Aluminum mesh lower grill
No emblem in the upper grill
Blue Calipers
a fair sized dent on the rear passenger quarter panel
R painted red on the rear SIR badge
Tinted Windows
Single gauge pod on driver pillar
Bee-otch air freshener hanging from the rear view mirror (yes the same as the one from transformers)

Stock ride height, and rims.

It would be amazing if this ended up like that guy who stole the Supra in Alberta and everyone from a car forum worked together to track the guy down and get him arrested. :chuckle

Its up on TOP as well. He was planning on selling it soon and has been eyeing a Speed 3 but its just the whole sentiment of it all... It is just very disgusting how it has all happened. Not to mention awful timing as his wedding day is around the corner!

Chances are that the car is in a shop already being torn apart to sell off the parts, I highly doubt someone would try keeping the car as is...

There was one that fit your description on the 401 west bound from Hwy 10 this morning that drove like a MAD man. I chased after it just for fun. As soon as I start to creep up on him, he drove all sane again ....

HAHA no aftermarket exhaust thats the one thing that will really seperate it from the others as its rare to find one without an exhaust.

Thanks everyone for the responses. Today the Insurance came by to see the area etc. He seemed like he thought he was going to show up in the ghetto or something. Seemed confused when he showed up and saw nothing out of the ordinary...

lol...I didn't know ppl were so desparate they were taking cars from the ghetto ONLY...you would think that's it's actually NEVER the ghettos where these things happen...like what are the thiefs gonna do? tow the car next door to their own place?

kidding aside, it's pretty brazen for them to just tow it right off your driveway...even at night...there maybe witnesses...but meh...if the insurance ppl are good with the write-off, then it MIGHT NOT BE A BAD THING...esp if he was trying to sell it anyway...

One of the many reasons why I didnt buy honda, its like most wanted car for thieves.

Anyways good luck with the search, you'de be lucky if its not torn apart. Other than that insurance should give him rental and car loss..

I'm keeping an eye out on the Honda-related forums. Was anything done to the motor? Was it the OEM motor that came with the car? (looking for B16's for sale on the forums)

The car was found in Toronto in 22 Division completely gutted, motor etc. Only thing left was basically the shell with the bench seat and most of the stuff that was already in the car.

Its a shame really, sad to see a car go this way to some thieves.

Only thing on the motor was new headers and AEM intake. nothing internal etc. to set it from others.
