View Full Version : Garu's CWP MS3
I did bit of spring cleaning today. With nice sunshine in the afternoon, I took the chance to take few pictures.
It looks clean but it still needs detailing as there are many tiny rust spots all over the car.

+1, i have crystal white pearl and i have the exact same problem! i wish i knew how to get rid of them :(
You need to claybar your car.
Either that or pay somebody to detail your car.

Are you ever in the Richmond Hill area around Bathurst and Gamble?, because I swear Ive seen that car parked across my place.
No don't think so, I don't usually go to Richmond Hill area.
It might've been Roy's, because his car has striking resemblance to mine from distance. His rims are same colour as mine too.

What Advan rims are those?
CPE full turbo back is an awesome thing. Power and sound you will be mesmerized by it.
They are Advan RS rims in gunmetal.

Dude, how do you keep the inside of your exhaust tip so clean?!
Just wipe it clean once a week. You can even use Windex to clean it.
I use stainless steel cleaner that I bought from Costco.

Cool.
I was keeping up with the frequent cleaning until the winter hit, then I let it go and now can't get rid of the build-up.
I'll look into that stainless steel cleaner, thanks.

that doesn't help with the body panels having rust spots like that...

ever get nailed by the cops for the front plate? i can see cops find an excuse like that for a ticket
Never had trouble with cop for the front plate.
Why would they give trouble? It's fully visible.

Dealer plate covers/frames hide more of the plate than the way you mounted it. (like your rear plate - also perfectly legal)
I really like what you did with the plate and the painted "moustache"
Did you get the dealer to NOT screw your front plate into the bumper? - I didn't see any holes.
Great looking car!
That 'mustache' was actually an accident while painting the zoom-zoom plate cover. :chuckle
The front plate mount was screwed on the black plastic piece, I relocated the plate and replaced the plastic piece awhile back.
When I replaced the bumper last week, I installed the painted one replacing plain black one.

Car looks great! Even better in person :)
I have the same issue with those small orange rust spots. Is there an issue of leaving the car with those spots on till september (when I get back from Australia)? Will they get larger? Do they only show up on white cars???

for some reason I detailed mine and was very happy not to see those spots anymore... and now they're back!:bang imo definitely not good to have them on the surface of our cars... it might eat its way into the clearcoat... i hope not..

Good points, perhaps the spots are these:

Sorry for taking over this pots a little, but thought it might help. I'll ask the dealer tomorrow when I go in for my maintenance.
Again, back on topic, the car looks so nice, and sounds amazing! Did you black out the logos yet?

yup the article is correct... we just call them rust spots... but really they are fallout, rail dust. it's on all cars, we just see it more because we're cwp colored. also don't forget our cars were on the train from vancouver to toronto... so much for paying extra to get the cwp and more difficult to maintain :chuckle but sometimes it's part of the joys of owning a car :)

Ok thats good to know :) I was nervous I already had rust with under 8000K.
Yes, its more a hassle I agree, but CWP rocks!
Thanks for the help.

lovin the look Garu... .One thing you should change... The front plate zip ties clear... The black you currently show is not as clean as if it was clear...
Yea... now that you mention it, you're right.
I will try to look for clear ones.

oh shit project keys lug nuts - baller warning
Haha! Yes those lug nuts are really nice.
But heavier than Rays though. As for the durability Rays sucks, Kics are very hard lug nuts and they have 2 locking system which can save some paint!

i really like the rims (and lugs), extremely baller. personally, advan and rays are favourite rims manufacturer.
however i dont like how the plastic strip is painted white on the front bumper. Everything else looks great though!
