View Full Version : Anyone with an Injen CAI actually converted to SRI?

Hello

I've tried a search for the answer, on multiple forums.

I see when a lot of people talk about they Injen, they tell people that because it's a two piece pipe, it can be used as a SRI

However I haven't seen anyone actually use this setup. Anyone here with an Injen confirm that the intake was designed to be used as both CAI and SRI?

The pipe connecting to the TB is a lot longer than a SR pipe, and looks like it'd place the filter right behind the radiator. Also is it stable, since the pipe is just hanging off the TB?

Thanks

You COULD.... but why on earth would you want to?

1) You can't buy the 1 top part solo...
2) If you did what your saying your going to get even less power gains...
3) It would be a waste.

Thats probly why you can't find it.

I'm currently running my Injen as a short ram until I find a rubber mount for the bottom half of the intake pipe.

pointless, CAI is better for your car.

The reason I ask is because I want to run CAI in the spring/summer and switch to SRI for the winter. Vancouver rain sucks =\

Unless you drive into a lake or river, you will be fine with a CAI

Thats correct...

You would have to drive into a body of water higher than the spot the filter sits... you'd have WAY bigger problems if that happened.. lol
