Should be at 0 unless there's weight in the back of the car like something heavy in the trunk or back seat passengers.

Assuming its just you in the car, and not sure if we are on the same page..dont think there is "0" just 1,2,3..

You sure? I though it was 0,1,2,3.
Either way, they should be at their highest position when it's just front seat passengers in the car. After that, it's a judgement call based on how much weight you're carrying.
As you add weight to the back, your headlights will point more and more upward so they'll illuminate the road less and blind other drivers more. The adjustability brings them back down to where they should be.

Yes, there IS 0. I keep it at 0, I don't bother to change it even with passengers in the car. =/

ohhhh k sorry mines are at 0 too, but i find that its too low and if i adjust to "1" its a little to high at far distances, wish there was 0.5.. Maybe Im just not used to it, I live a little bit outside of the city, and I dont like blinking with high beams to much

yeah with hids you get a manual leveling control, pretty neat actually, its located on the left from your dash dim light control, for the "halogens" you have to use flat screw driver and twist the disc yourself

Uh, actually, the higher you adjust, the lower the lights are. I think the principle behind it is that when you have passengers in the back, the back of the car weights down, projecting the lights a little higher than normal. So then you would adjust to 1 to lower the lights when you have people in the car.
I think.

i used to kept it on level 3 but since i got the eibachs and rims i've generally left it on 0... sometimes on the highways or well lit areas i'll put it back to 3

"0" is the highest position I thought and "3" is the lowest
Either way, I keep them so that they point as high as possible.

it bloody states this SPECIFICALLY in the manual of the car.....
0..... no one in the car
1.... 1 in the rear seat + 1 in front passenger
2.... 2 in the rear _ 1 front passenger
3... full house....
or at least something close to that... do ppl not read their manuals?

I have mine at 1 since it was adjusted for more flexibility. I find that prior to the adjustments were made, when the gas tank is low on gas, on the 0 setting, it dips too low to the ground and 1 to be too high.

I usually leave it at 0... I fiddle with it now and then (just to hear the motors buzz) :)

LOL... good point...
but I think they meant 'no passengers' :chuckle

that is what i meant....
and technically speaking if you leave your car... there's "no one in the car"
and you also would leave it at "0"
and if u look at my post i never include the "driver"
as one of the ppl in the car anyways. =P

0 At all times up until reading this thread lol.. Makes sense to change it lower down as more passengers enter, just never really thought about it. Otherwise, if alone, anything above 0 seems to low..
+1
I find the manual a good bathroom read lol!

Yea, but no one reads your posts because your MS3 is the ugliest colour. :chuckle
All jokes aside, I keep mine at 1 all the time. I hate it when the lights are pointed so high and people blind me from behind or from the other side of the road. The highest setting is wayy too high even with no passengers.

I re-aimed my headlights so that #1 is the regular position (like 0 was) and use that all the time, that way I can move it to #0 on a back country road and light up tons of stuff.

Anyone notice that Level 1/2/3 is positioned closely to one another whereas 0 is a significant jump.
