Anyone ever have this happen?

So yesterday I was at Fairview mall and I parked in the semi-underground parking lot. When I go to search for my car by using the lock button (hitting it twice so car would honk).
I find that I'm able to lock someone else's 3 as well.

It would honk back about a second or 2 delay after my car honks. Weird?

I've tried this - just out of curiosity, not looking to steal anyone's car - and it's never worked. Are you sure it wasn't an echo?

I've done that before. Especially at people who keep honking theirs.

Different frequency or almost same.. or the frequency would cut in with the other one. Very strange. So I assume the other owner can do the same to your car? lol
