The guy said he would only do Mazda 3's for now :)
18 Car batteries no more engine and trunk is full of them. no more exhaust or fuel tank...pretty neat if you ask me. Not good for highway but man how many people do 100km a day?

I do :-P But that's not my point... hehe.
This seems like a GREAT endeavour.... until the one day that you DO have to exceed 100km. I know that there are ways around this, but you'd either have to have a second car, or rent a car, get someone else to drive, etc. That would be my only concern. Not being able to go to the cottage or Sauble or GB or Wasaga... things like that.
Other than that, though, if I had the money and didn't drive a ton every day, I'd look into it, especially with the gas at $1.30/L...
it would be good for short, in city driving

Takes 12 h to charge but man it cost you 1.80$ per charge.....Ridiculous! Just buy a blown engine 04 for cheap, hell I sold mine a 96k for 10 000$, and have them install this electric motor :)
