So I searched around a bit but couldn’t find any "specific" alignment specifications for the 3.

I spent many years (and still do) working on Miatas and those forums are full of recommendations...

For example:

http://www.miatamx5.com/alignment.html

Some Miata guys say NEVER go with the factory recommended spec as the range is crazy.

Most guys who know how to do alignments NEVER use the +- spec....they are really out to lunch on the tolerances....but most specs are like that wether its a mazda. toyota, nissan, chev...

Its more like a guide line...say your car has 300,000kms on it and the camber is reading
-1.2 on both front tires....that would be considered OK (Spec being -.68 I think +-1),,,but really whats happeneing is that your suspension is starting to sag....its when you get one side go way out to lunch that alarm bells should start going off.

ANyhow...make sure you find someone who does good alignments....there is a difference obviously between "in spec" and "done right or good" alignments
