AT Light Came on?

Need your input...

Driving the 401 this morning to work, look down to check my speed and notice that the AT light was on. It stayed on for about a minute then turned off. Any ideas on whta would cause that as it has never happened to me before.

The car: 2006 GT Sedan, 80XXX km, automatic and no engine mods.

Didn't think of the fluid! I'll check at lunch. Don't have the maual with me as I left it at home last time I cleaned the car.
