I like albums over songs so right now i'm on The Carter 3....it took a WHILE before i REAAAAAALLLY started feelin the album....still has a couple tracks i can't bring myself to like (Phone Home) but over all it's good....it's not a "classic" as Puffy says but it's good...

Previously I was listening to The Carter and The Carter 2....I am in a SERIOUS Weezy phase right now...

But on the Blakcberry i am listening to (an assortment of albums for each)...

every summer i find an artist i'm seriously feeling...I've had many Jay-Z phases (my fav rapper all time no question) Drag-On phase a couple summers ago (on my list of most underrated rappers)...

I don't even watch or listen for new music anymore (just wutever comes on Flow in the mornings since it's the morning show i listen to) i'm disappointed with 85% of it....

I Would put him on the Top 25 maybe even top 15 his Songs have Substance and he has Lyrical Talent.... Fitty Cent however is not any list in my opinion

50 circa '96 - '03.....definetly top 50 (no pun)...the stuff he was putting out in mix tapes and his underground stuff when he was signed with JMJ (Jam Master J) was unbelieveable...listen to How To Rob an Industry

Then he became the '08 Ja Rule and now I have no respect for any work he puts out now...it's uninspired garbage

Believe it or Not the oldschool 50 cent i was listening to was pretty good i even liked a few songs.... but then he just went mainstream .... same with Mobb Deep they used to be amazing = Shook ones, get away... then they joined G-Unit and became okay not horrible but nothing amazing.....
listen to the Roots they have kept it fresh since 93.... and Nas has changed his style up a little but his lyrical flow and genuis is still amazing

H.N.I.C was/is one of my fav albums

NAS i wouldn't say his style has "changed" persay....it's more like...he grew up and his style grew with it....iw ould say the same for Jay-Z....they did what 50 did not....grew and were capable to rap about the state of their lives at that time....not when they were still on the come up

a lil side note about NAS...I am pretty disappointed he decided to change the name of his album from n****r to Untitled....reason being....the original title was genius (this coming from a black man)....when you think about it...he took all the negative historical context out of the word (ONLY when referring to the album title of course)....i guess it was a lil TOO mind blowing for people to handle...tiny rant there

^^^ Yeah he was fully willing to do it but i think he was being sued 82 Million Dollars and Universal Music wasnt happy about that.... he couldnt make that the official name but all True nas fans know the original name of the album.... the album really tears down on equality and the fact that we are all the same... i like that... especially in the U.S and other Parts of the World where you are judged largely on race and religion... Nas is just straight up Real.... i Watched him live and it was the best concert of my life... hey 06 Touring you should chk this out
