CB Radio - In Canada ?

Hey my friends i have question about CB Radio -is it popular in Canada as same as in EU. ?

Anyone of u is running CB ?

I listen to CBC Radio 1 UK podcasts..They play good music there..

Wow, I used to have a CB back in the late '80's. Haven't broken it out in ages, doesn't seem worth it since the internet.

I've got one sitting in my garage.... it's a bunch of years old, but should still work. I should put it in my car. Used to use it to listen in on the truckers talking about where the traffic plug-ups were happening.....

In Canada, "CB radio" is officially called the "General Radio Service" and does not require a licence, though there are limits to things like transmission wattage and such. As in the US, it is primarily used by truckers (especially long-haul) and in rural areas, though others use it as well.

In the EU, apparently CB is more common among hobbyists than truckers.

Amateur radio is another option some take advantage of, although it requires licencing.
