Hey everyone not sure if anyone can help me out.. but kind of need a quick fix, on my way to work the car threw a CEL. Pulled over and checked it out, looks like the breather line from the intake came off. Was wondering if I re-connect it... how do I reset the computer???
I've been told to take off the battery terminals and let it sit for about 10mins then reconnect them turn the key to the on position and let it sit for about 10 mins....
Is this correct??? anyones help would be most appreciated.
Thanks
Will

it should reset on its own.

whenever i get MAF codes, they usually go away with 10kms after fixing the problem.

so after reconnecting the hose it should be okay???? would rather not start pulling off the battery terminals.....

Technically it should just go away if the sensor is reading properly again. To be safe you could reset the computer by unhooking just the (-) for about 10 min or so. :)

Which method you used to solve this problem? I had CEL on today but fixed it by unplugging MAF connectors, sprayed it with electrical spray and plugged right back in.
