I was thinking of getting the metal sills but instead decided to paint them to match the body colour. What do you guys think?

It's not a perfect match, but I kinda like that it's more GOLD!

Adds a classy touch IMO. What paint did you use (and are you worried about it rubbing off with reagular w&t?)

Yes, it's not a perfect match. One of the closest I could find. I have an annoying colour to match. In person it's not as noticeable.

I used the duplicolour stuff and I'm not worried about it rubbing off. 3 years and never had a scuff on them. 2 layers of paint + 3 layers of clearcoat so I think i'm good :)

Wait, are they normally black? Because mine came in beige. I can't even imagine how it looks if it was black...

Personally I think it looks kindof odd, ...sorry, but you asked! You might have been better off with chrome ones, they would go with your door and switch panels better, or maybe if it was a better colour match! I don't know, just does not look right!......But ultimately its what you like, right?

If it's been 3 years and they still don't look beat up, then I guess you're good to go.

My initial thought though, is that those pieces are put there in the first place to protect the painted bits, so painting them would seem to completely defeat the purpose. :)

I guess that's one way to look at it. I've actually done something more with it and I'll post the picture later tonight.
