hey guys,

I just got a new 08 silver mazda 3 grand touring! I'm soo excited. I've gone to customizing websites that have mazda3's customized with pictures and all and I was seeing if anyone can give me help or suggest some things to do with my car. I don't have a tight budget for mods, but I would like to keep it as cheap as possible. I am maybe looking to lower it, get a suttle body kit, tint, rims and tires, custom inside lighting, grill, and more. I was thinking about also blacking everything out and still having the car silver. Please help me out and tell me what you think I sould do with my car, along with pics if you have of what you are suggesting (website name to buy also:)).

Thanks :bana2

Congrats on the purchase first off.

Here are some quick links (Search is your friend on the forum)

Check out the Member rides section for pics of modded rides no shortage of lowered, tinted etc etc rides in there.

As for Ideas lowering is key for some people, if you want more performance then headers, CAI, Exhaust are all starting points.

As for locations to get this stuff, from my experience the sponsor section is great for deals and they are all firendly.

Check out classified section for great deals as well

The first thing anyone should do when buying a new 3 is to immediately start saving for a turbo kit! :chuckle

But seriously...turbo it!

If you came in with a turbo strapped to the back of your engine, the dealership would just laugh at you if you tried to make a warranty claim lol. It voids all warranties.

how much horsepower and stuff does it help/give the car? does it eat more gas? is it reliable? thanks:)

You may want to do a bit of looking around before you ask those questions. Turbo will absolutely, no doubt about it, void any and all warranties you have on the car.

That said, the amount of horsepower it adds depends on the kit, and how you tune it. It will indeed consume more gas, and you're probably looking at higher octane gas to keep it from pinging. Reliability... well... if you tune it and maintain it right, and if it was installed correctly, it should be pretty reliable.

^ + a million, why would you turbo your car when there is a MSP3?

Why spend more money to get to the same place as the starting point of a MSP3?

why dont you just buy a speed3? lol

I don't like the hatchback, if they had one in the sedan i would and to answer the question about the msp3, this is my first car, so i didn't want to get too crazy, but i have just been looking around for my options for the mazda3 sedan.

My suggestion...do as your heart desires. Do so research and make it your own :)
