Hi all

I just finished doing my paper work for my Mazda 3 sedan, but now I find out that my Mazda 3 doesn't come with cruise control :(

Can I add an aftermarket cruise control to my MAZDA 3?

Thanks

Alex

The car should come pre-wired for OEM cruise control. You just need to get a few parts to get everything working.

Thanks Xerox,

After I buy the parts. What place can I go to pay some one to do this for me in Toronto?

yearoftherat, if I wanted to click in every one of those banners and call those people to find the information, I wouldn't have come to this forum. I could have done that via google search.

I posted the question to get people recommendation base on their experience

Thanks any way

Now, had you tried searching on simple terms, like "cruise install", you might find this post:http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=14152&highlight=cruise+install

You will also notice the posted is a sponsor. He would be a good person to contact regarding install.

I contacted my MAZDA dealer and for 300 bucks they order the parts and install the cruise control for me :)

If anyone is concerned, the installation is a breeze. Just did mine in 20 minutes in the parking lot :chuckle. Don't be affraid of the airbag, just be sure to disconnect the battery and that you are free of static charge (just touch your car's chassis)
It will not blow. I've removed the airbag in my old volvo dozens of times without any issues (I've even forgotten to disconnect the battery once)
But, if anyone wants to do it in the Hamilton/Halton area, just PM me and I'll help you out.

There is also an excellent write-up in the 'How-to' section, follow it and you'll be fine.
