OMFG! So the rumors are true! Another FX (<-- that means FULL FRAME) body from NIKON! The D700. US $2,999.

This thing will go direct head-to-head against Canon's 5D. Nikon never had anything to compete against the 5D until now and the D700 looks like a strong offering.

D700 uses the same amazing sensor from the D3. So hands down the D700 will have better ISO performance than pretty much anything that Canon currently offers (even better than the flagship 1D mkIII).

There will probably be a lot of used D300 bodies and DX lenses for sale (although the D700 has a DX mode which allows you to use DX lenses).

haha. Never! lol
I'm sure a lot of the pros are switching camps (or start using more Nikon if they have both) but it's a seesaw battle between the manufacturers and it's a good thing so I welcome it. If the average consumer were to switch every time one manufacture has the edge it'll be very costly.

i'm praying for a Fuji S6 Pro to be based on this.

Costly for the consumers, but the manufacturers would be soo happy :chuckle
