I'm looking to replace my pads, both front and rear, since I'm not at all pleased with my Hawk HPS.

Can anyone tell me the difference between the two, and from which supplier you bought them from so I can look up their number?

Thanks

Hmm, the '95 miata I just bought came with EBC green. I scrapped them as soon as I got home and put on HPS (never tried the HPS before). They weren't aggressive enough for my taste.

What's wrong with the HPS? Too dusty or don't stop well enough?

First post contains product # for Green, and further down there is a revised number for Red (ceramic).

Im running Greens right now and the break dust is just unbelievable. That is funny because I was thinking of going for Hawks when these are done

What dont you like about the Hawks?
I read somewhere the Hawk HPS dont last as long as the Green? any input on that?

in short, don't get EBC pads... especially reds
not to mention their poor customer service

The hawks stop really well, but are wearing unevenly. This is causing a lip to form at the edge of the pad which then squeals like a stuck pig at times, and click softly all the time. It's not all of the wheels (1 maybe 2), but I've already had the pads machined twice, and would rather just replace them with something else than do it again.

EDIT: After reading FUMAN's post, I'm undecided all over again. Looks like it's time to conduct a lot more research before I stick both feet in. ;-)
