my first and only vid of the day as it was mostly instructional lapping on the Mosport GP track. (unfortunately, this was also where this tragic accident happened not too long ago: http://newsdurhamregion.com/news/durham/article/101293) Anyway...thanks to MajesticBlueNTO's advise, I sought out and got on the school and instructional lapping for a very reasonable price of $225 + $10wknd "C" license thru SPDA...anyway, all I can say is I need more seat time...here's vid of my instructor Kyle driving the MS3:

Video taken with GoPro HeroCam...turn down sound if you can't stand the wind buffetting...more pics to come and course walk!... :bana

Turns 5B, 5C and 6 to the back straight where I can hit about 190km/h...and as hard as he may try, a Mustang GT could not catch up:

from the vid, I'd hate to be driving this course in the wet.
looks like you had fun man =)

FYI: Mustang's rear suspension is a solid axle, so we have the advantage in terms of suspension setup (current generation mustang, not sure about the older ones).

trust me, elevation changes is the biggest challenge to tracking...if you want a track that will test you nerves and concentration, there's nothing like the GP track in the area...and like MajesticBlueNTO said, it's best that you do track school on the GP track before going out on your own...

the one is offered on the Labour Day wknd...but it's a 2-day event and over $400:

or come to BeaveRun! =)

new friend I made from TPC:

sweet vid....will have to track with you soon!

same man...if don't catch you over summer, then it'll be October in the US!

thanks for the PM btw...keep me posted! ;)

Just finished going thru my data logs...pls be kind as this is my first time out...Mosport is a 4km long track:

Best lap: 1min 47.985sec (107.985 sec)
Top speed: 186.3km/h
Avg speed: 127.3km/h
Max lateral G: 1.34g

This will the baseline I'll building on for the next year or so...if anyone is interested in my MaxQData logs, I'll be happy to share...just ask! :)

For reference...my friend took a Gallardo up to 280km/h in the back straight...

What kind of tires are you running? Did you gummy them up? Man, I want to do this so bad. but if a school is recommended then boo. Most of all, I need to learn the lines of the corners because apparently, I am pretty far off on them.

So the whole track is only 4 km? umm seems bigger on google maps
