Hey all...sometime over the weekend it looks like someone sat on my car (near the drivers side head lamp) with a pair of jeans and wiggled their a$$ somewhat and left my a nice gift!

I'm looking for recommendations on how I should try and fix this. This is what I've come down to:
1. Try to touch it up with a pen.
2. Get my hood repainted
3. Just live with it as I have 1 year left on my lease and Wearcare coverage.
Thanks!

crap.. I hope it wasn't a friend who just wanted a place to sit.. that would be even worse..
if it's just a lease and you don't intend to buy it out then I would think some touch up paint would be fine.
I suppose even if you intend to buy the car afterwards and it's not a deep scratch then some touch up paint should be fine as long as you can live with it.. if you wanted to paint the hood wouldn't you have to paint the entire hood and not just that area?? might cost more than it's actually worth..
also, looks like you got a scratch down the cover for your headlights too..

It wasn't a friend...they know better than to do that. The headlight I'm not as bummed out about.

touch it with a pen so it won't rust, and leave it.

It is down to the metal? If not, just leave it.

the scratch removal doesn't really help you out to take it out the scratches, beside the scratch on his car are really deep,
ill say do with the touch up, and cross a finger hoping it will get better, since your car is a lease, i guess you got nothing to lose if you try it

Cheapest way = touch up, and bug deflector.

Wow! That doesn't look at all accidental to me! Sorry man.
With a year left on the lease, and not planning to keep it, I'd just use touch up.

I was going to say the same thing, I don't think jeans would do that.....looks intentional.

Oh yeah...wearcare is definitely a plus in the this situation.
I seem to have a history with cars and 'mystery'/key scratches. My old Cavalier needed to have its hood replaced and was repainted...within a week I had a 12" key scratch across the hood. Plus each of my door handle pockets had key jobs right at the bends in the metal...pissed me off big time.
I can't say for sure what caused this one...it just pisses me off...regardless if it was an accident or deliberate.

That definately looks intentional... You can see the zig zag from going back and forth. +1 for touch up paint... it is probably the way to go on this one.

Yeah i was @ Tims last nite and a group of young guys decided to use my car as a cupholder placing their ice caps on the roof and leaning on my ride.... i quickly went towards them and gave them a lecture of repecting people's property.... then drove off and parked by the window.... i could have had the same circumstances too... a lot people these day have no morals... i have no idea how i kept my cool last night

I wish I could answer that...it doesn't look like any key marks that I've experienced previously...that's not to say that I wasn't a victim of a key job in this instance.
