Pedestrian count-downs?

Well just wondering what people's thoughts are on the new pedestrian count down lights at intersections? They seem to be everywhere now!

Personally as a driver I love them, when your coming up to an intersection you now know exactly how much time you have to make it thru the intersection or if you should start stopping, your not just guessing anymore looking at those friggen flashing hands.:chuckle

I have to agree. I love them as well :P.

Sometimes the flashing hands would flash then it'll stop flashing and it'll be a yellow, and you'll go oh !@#!@

I think it's pretty neat, you can time yourself now. In San Francisco and Australia, I remember the lights have sound that quicken when it's time to change.
