View Full Version : Dent on front shock?

I painted my calipers last night (i'll post pics later), but as I removed the front passenger-side tire, I noticed that the shock had a square patch of paint taken off of it, and it was dented inwards.

The square patch was consistent with rubbing removal as the metal it showed underneath was polished although textured .... kinda like brushed aluminum.

I'm really regretting putting my tire back on without taking a picture of it, but i'm kinda worried that those MS3 rims I put on is making that dent/spot? I wonder if the rim is bent or something... :rant

Mine has a "dent" as well... It's more like the round shock becomes flat at one point.

The paint is still there on mine.

Not to worry this is normal.

Just opened 2 brand new struts and they have the "dent" in the same spot.

:P I tried to take a picture, but my cell phone cam can't doesn't show enough of a contrast between the rim and the calliper.
