so today i decided to let gf try driving stick again after like 2 months. She's still very new at it.

So i drove to a school parking lot and told her to be SUPER careful because the last thing i want is a curb rash on my rims.

Now the reved my car to like 4000 rpm before getting off and stalled pretty hard twice. But luckily she only stalled twice. (that hurt me). Then after the 2nd time stalling, i pulled the ebrake and told her to calm down and relax.

NOW, she started off (forgot to pull ebrake after it's pulled all the way) and drove and squeeled my tires. I didn't pay too much attention to it because she revved high and kinda popped the clutch a little. So we ended up stopping and going 2 time around the school with my ebrake on and i swear my engine sounded like it was trying hard but i thought it was from the high revs. When i noticed my ebrake was still up i was like.......... "ok, lets go home now". Got back in the driver seat, my ebrake handle (is aftermarket CF mazdaspeed one) and that was loosened.

What i want to know is did i do any damage to my car? Like my engine probably worked hard but then again it's kinda like hauling something heavy. But about the rear wheels locking up and driving, did the car drag the locked up rear wheels while the front ones were pulling it?

Holy chit man, she probably farked your engine up now!.......................na, just razzing! :chuckle

If anything you might have taken some life out of the pads, nothing serious. You might want to have a quick peak at your calipers, pads and PB cable/mechanism, to make sure no damage was caused, but its very unlikely in such a short period.

I think the only thing that will be affected will be a bit of wear on ur brake pads. ive had that happen but in diferent circumstances. my car got towed with the parking brake on. didnt notice it at first but a few months after the brakes started squeaking and then the right side tire had a LOT of brake dust on it. so time for new brakes. had to replace the brake pads and rotors since they got too hot and warped. i jsut wish i would of caught it when it hapened but i thought all was good cause the ebrake didnt seem to be that much looser then it was before.

needless to say now i never put the ebrake on when i park unless i on a hill or at home.

The same thing happened to me teaching my hubby to drive standard a few weekends ago >< go figure...

I noticed like right away though, i'm a paranoid freak when it comes to teaching him to drive standard, i try not to let on but i'm sure it must come across and makeit more difficult for him :(
