We brought our CX-9 in for warranty work that required some repainting. The car came back on Tuesday but I noticed today that some parts of the bumper are dull in colour.

It's hard to see but if you look closely you can sort of tell by the reflection. I'll try and take better pictures if I can.

I'm wondering what other solutions (waxing, polishing) there are instead of just bringing it back because I'm worried that it'll come out with some more problems

Looks like either they just used a spray balm or you have some bad overspray. I would take the vehicle right back and complain.

I will probably be taking it back tomorrow. I think it may be overspray because the part there were suppose to repaint was under the license plate. There are also some marks on the paint that i'm still trying to figure out as well.

if that doesnt work, grab or borrow an orbital polisher, some megs cut cleaner and swirl removers and get your ass a polishin!

its overspray - take it back and tell them you want to be able to see your face when they return it to you...these guys should know better than that.....they gave it back to you hoping that you wouldn't say anything

update!

well, i brought it back to Mississauga Mazda and without any hassle, they took the car back to the body shop and had all the problems fixed. Now it looks like new, again!
