Thats cool, I was at Shannonville on July 26th. First time ever on a track. It was awesome. I can't wait to go again. How fast can you guys get up to on that track? I was only able to his 160 once at Shannonville. Oh well

The day started off really hot and my tires gummed up quickly and it felt quite slippery...as the day went on, and the clouds rolled thru, the track cooled down enough to get maximum grip...great lesson in track/tire temp management.
Just some stats:
Tires - just coming off track, my fronts range from 84 - 86 degrees C.
Intercooler - ~ 74 - 80 degrees C.
Calipers - ~ 180 degrees C.
Brake Rotors - > 320 degrees C.
Wheel/Lug Nuts - ~120 degrees C.
My best lap on a 13 lap run:
1:26 min or 86 secs.
max speed 117.8 km/h
avg speed 68.2 km/h
max lat g 0.95

yeah...it's a tight course...Mosport DDT stands for "driver development track", and it's the only small track that actually has elevation changes (when compared to Shannonville, Dunnville, and Cayuga), and it's not much focused on high speed straights and turns...and it's also supposed to prepare you for the Mosport GP track.
There are a couple no-lift turns for me tho, which is quite exhilarating, and ends up being where I can make up the most time...
As always, I encourage everyone to download a copy of MaxQData Chart...I have timing datalogs that I can share as well!
UOU and alhope34: I'm gonna try and take my nephew to TMP on Aug 9 for lapping and time attack...see if you guys can come?

Is there ever any lapping days on their big track? From the look of it from googlemaps, it looks like alot of straight away and high high speeds.
Cool video

Here's a thread I started about my day at the Big Track:

There are crews out there that organizes lapping days on Big Track for like $300...but as MajesticBlueNTO suggested, and I obliged, it's best you go to GP Track School before you go out on your own...

no vids from me yet...been too busy. tires got so hot in the morning that they picked up practically every little piece of gravel in the paddock area :whoa
My best lap on a 5 lap run (1 warm-up, 3 hot, 1 cool-down, much like that Time Attack format :chuckle) with Fobio holding the PPC:
1:31 min or 91 secs.
max speed 109.4 km/h
avg speed 65.4 km/h
max lat g 0.80

Passing usually only allowed in the straight, thats only if you catch the cars in front of you and the driver acknowledge and wave you through.

Not sure what your track experience is like. But if you are new, track school on a technical course is very very helpful. Check out track school by ILR. Right now, TPC having a joint lapping/track school day with ILR. http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=26755
