You could just make the noise yourself.

Keep some water so you don't get parched.

i believe they used to sell those kits a while back that contained a speaker that was supposed to be mounted under the hood and a button that was getting mounted inside the car so that eeverytime you push it it would sound like you have a BOV.

I always wanted to see the person who would mount that on their car. I guess one was just found!

http://forums.beyond.ca/showthread/t-126761.html

http://www.turbowhistler.net/

and I loved this one soo much so I needed to put one on my MS3 on top of the stock bpv and MS CAI for the low price of $500!!
Only costs twice as much as the real turbo.. but I don't want to twin-turbo charge the car ya know..

"Save yourself $4000 from turbocharging your car just for the sound."

Ok...who spends $4k on a turbo set-up, voids any remaining warranty they might have, and have fun paying out the wazoo for insurance, just to get a turbo sound?

These kind of things (fake turbo sound generators) just make me smile and shake my head. Companies will still continue to make garbage like this because some people are stupid enough to buy it.

i've always thought what it would be like if someone seriously asked that....

pretty funny....just like i thought

but seriously don't do that man no one deserves the ridicule and shame that comes with it lol

is it just me or does that not even sound CLOSE to what a turbo would actually sound like?!?!

besides, who wants to be the retard that has one of these on their car and gets SMOKED by a stock civic (or worse) hahahaha!

"buy the real thing"... enough said :)

make your car no longer insurable. :P

That is impossible where it is illegal to drive without insurance. Facility insurance is still insurance. I've heard it's not THAT bad for modded cars if you have a spotless record.

Its bad enough to get beaten in a non turbo'd mazda 3.. let alone make it sound like you have a turbo just to get beaten anyways.. then you just soiled mazda's name.

Yup, I looked at it, thanks for the link (and the laugh)!
If anyone is balding, I have some foam spray to sell you - LOOKS like hair, just don't go out in the rain or sweat... :chuckle

Seriously though, it's your car and your perogative to do what you want. Just realize, if we SEE your car, it'll be our perogative to have a good laugh. But don't cave to peer pressure, do what makes you happy.

I don't condone street racing, so if you are at a track and if you EVER try to race anyone, especially a Smart car or something and LOSE, you will have to return the car to Mazda Canada and ride a pink tricycle for a year (on the bright side, you get to keep the "turbo" sound contraption on it) :blush

If by not THAT bad is 500++/month then yes its not bad. I have spotless record, no speeding tickets, don't live in any major city and my quote was 525/month because I lowered my car with prokits.

There is a member around with a turbo'd 3 who pays almost half that on facility.

What do i gotta put in my 2004 mazda 3 gs to hear the Wossshh sound when you shift? would a turbo simulator sound good or not?

why? instead of wasting the money and as they say the humiliation on having "the sound" of a BOV why not just get simple bolt ons on the car save up some cash might cost more but at least u dont get laughed at right?

do u really want ppl driving beside u and shake their heads? i know i wouldnt. it would be better to stay stock than to put that sound in the car. in my opinion anyway

I have lots of friends that have turbochargers installed in their cars and insurance only went up about $50/month or so. Others just don't tell the insurance company, which is wrong, but i guess the amount of mods they have it might not be insurable if they did (same scenario i would probably have). However, wasting money just to have "the turbo sound" you are simply going to be ridiculed mercilessly for obvious reasons. If that doesn't bother you and you still want the sound (no performance gains either) then go for it. it is your car afterall. I would never do it, but i will admit i make the "whoosh" sound very often when im driving hahahaha.

you could have bought this:

http://trader.ca/powerpage/details.aspx?vlotid=1275823&adid=7156253

for less than your mazda, then you would have had your very own turbo, and a way nicer car.

PLEASE PLEASE tell me an insurance company that will insure your friends turbo for 50/month - because every insurance company I have called won't even insure your car is lowered.
