Didn't a 2 hour premiere or preview of it air a few months ago? It looked pretty bad...

It sure did. I didn't think it looked bad, though. I watched it, as I'm a huge Knight Rider fan. I liked it. Found it to be in the same vein as the old show, IMO. I think the show will be pretty sweet. But yes, in a cheesy way.
And the car looks SICK.

I have watched it atleast 5 times now (downloaded it 24 hours after i watched the premiere of it) and it looks "OK" compared to the original. Car is simply the most amazing thing to watch, acting is "mediocre" at best.

Watched "it" being the premier/movie type thing? Or the show???

I have to be honest here.... I think that is the one of the worst looking cars I've ever seen. It looks like bubba from the trailer park won the lotto, and paid a body shop to cover his 1999 Mustang in the 'sweetest gear' available from Canadian Tire. Ugh.
KITT was sleek, sexy, and super damn cool. It was a subtle car; something to turn heads because its sleek, not because it's a muscle/meathead car. This new car looks like it should be a NASCAR pace-car.
That being said, I'll check out the show. But nothing will ever top the original... I mean, Car vs. KITT? That's right up there with Optimus Prime.

I hope its an improvement over the 2 hour premiere, somehow the idea of watching hour long Ford commercials every week and some poor acting isn't getting me excited at this point......

I just looked at the NBC website, and if the pics up there are what it's going to look like, then I agree, Scott. If, however, it's like it was in the premier, then I will whole heartedly disagree. A Cobra is not a meathead car. I loved the look of it. But, like I said, the pics up on nbc.com right now are really ugly...

The normal look is ok. The super pursuit mode is terrible.

I'm not liking the morphing into an F150 idea, that's not cool.

my thoughts EXACTLY!
I can't say that i hate the new KITT and I used to watch the old series too. It's still in the same price category/genre as the old one too as a "poor man's sports car" and I believe both of these cars could be had for under $50, 000?! (correct me if im wrong)

meh... I need an automotive themed series where I can just shut off the brain for an hour and not really care about any kind of a plot or acting (I'll watch 'House' for that :chuckle)
