Too funny!
I MAY have done something similar (but around town) with someone's crazy daisy (sprinkler that looks like a big sunflower)...

bahahaha classic!
The sad thing is though, there's no smile on the face of the law... There was a quote in the story about the local police still considering it a theft.

That's awesome. I wish more people would do things like that. They even made a nice photo album about it and everything? I don't see anything wrong with this at all...
Would have been funny had they moved, though... :-P

Yea, something similar was. It mentions that in the article. Way to read, Jeff :chuckle

lol... it is pretty funny. But I can kinda see why police would treat it as a crime, as it was stolen originally. I am sure if someone stole your car, drove it to the southern most tip of South America and then back, and left you a photo album on the seat, you would still be pissed. I understand it's all in context, but to these people, they had no idea where the gnome went. It is definately a good thing that she was not too attached to it though, as some people may have been devistated lol.

There is also a story about a couple who collect them and had one stolen from INSIDE their house - likely during a family reunion/street party or something - they have been getting letters form their gnome around the world for a while now.
Stealing is bad! :blush
