Like the title asks, anyone see Dark Knight IMAX experience?
I hear great things about the movie. The last movie my wife and I saw together in the theatres was the Mummy!!! :blush

I did... The IMAX was very disappointing as only about 6 scenes (30 seconds) of the movie is in IMAX.
You'll definitely notice the difference... The height of the screen suddenly changes when you get to an IMAX scene.

Saw DK IMAX last night. While it would have been awesome if the whole film was IMAX, the few scenes were rather amazing - got vertigo in a couple of them. Then of course there is the IMAX intro which was quite fun.
Anyway, good show. My wife didn't like it as much. Very dark & morbid (right up my alley).
If you have the option, see the IMAX version...

I liked it in IMAX. Although I agree that there weren't enough IMAX scenes. But at least you get the IMAX sound which is amazing.

^^ Ditto. A complete IMAX experience would've been even more insanity! Loved the movie, IMAX or not.

You actually got the laser show? It wasn't played at the theatre I went to, which crapened the experience even more.
Last IMAX movie I saw was "I am Legend" so I had really high expectations for the IMAX, which unfortunately weren't met by Dark Knight.

Saw it Sunday at the Collisseium in IMAX. Very good. In IMAX it makes those views from the top of the building freakin awesome. The sound was stellar too!
Oh and cannot forget the 1994 Laser light show. It was great!
Overall, a fantastic IMAX experience.

i actually had a chance to watch it in both
i watched it in imax on opening weekend
then 2 weeks later watched it at amc...
and for anyone that has seen BOTH you'll understand why imax is way better
i got the laser show stuff too.
in a normal theatre... the sound is by far more unclear
the picture in imax is WAY BETTER! mainly because the imax projector way stronger and brigher creating a better image and contrast
the picture in a normal theatre is VERY dark and in the dark scenes (which there are plenty) are very unclear.
but with imax its very clear and large
a complete imax film would've been expensive... this is the first feature film to use even a few imax film so it's a start! =)

I think I might be one of the only people who was very unimpressed with this movie. I just saw it this past week-end and was expecting quite a bit more based on all the hype so far. Yes Heath was good as the Joker, potentially Oscar worthy IMO. Other than that though, the movie really wasn't that good. The first one with Bale was much better as it wasn't so superhero-ish. I have no problem with 'dark' movies but this simply didn't do it for me.
