View Full Version : Need some help....(side mirrors)
I need to take the covers off my side rear view mirrors. I've been told just the cover comes off. Can anyone confirm this and maybe help me out with a "how-to"?

If I recall correctly, there are some plastic clips that poke through into the mirror body. They should be visible by tilting the mirror down as far as it can go. If you can wait, I will look at the shop manual tonight for the official way to remove the covers....
That would be awesome....I have plans to get em wrapped so I hope its easy to take off, and that there's some clearance.

so i jus went and had a look at the car dave, turns out its just a couple clips, doesn't seem to be anything major
Should I just tilt the mirror and stick my fingers in there?

if you got skinny mini fingers, yeah
i can just barely touch the one clip with my man hands...id have to use the aid of a screwdriver or something...
Do they look sturdy? I don't want them to snap.

As promised! (Not sure that's is any use now, but what the heck!)
§09-12-30
1. Remove the mirror glass from the outer mirror.
2. Pinch the clip ends using pincers and detach the clips by pushing them forward
3. Grasp the upper side of the outer mirror garnish and remove it by pulling it in the direction of the arrow.*
The arrow indicates rotating the garnish toward the front of the car and down, the bottom end acting like a hinge.
There didn't look like a lot of room but then again I was driving while adjusting the mirrors lol. I guess a screw driver will suffice.
