Hey guys, I got engaged recently, (about a month ago.)

Im looking for a florist, DJ, And limo services, and a photographer.

If you have anyone close to you that can help out or just know someone whos really good, Let me know. Thanks boys and girls i appreciate the help i can't belive how much goes into this wedding crap.

Recommend to her some of the worst places/people you can find, and she'll say 'You're useless at this, I guess I'll have to take care of everything'. Then carry on as you were before you bought the ring.

Xerox and Super_Vixen would be the top two photographers that come to mind right off the top of my head...Super_Vixen has a website if you look at her profile page or her signature and Xerox's work can be seen all through out the board. I'm sure there are quite a few others on the board that are into photographing weddings I just don't know of them.

I've gotten lazy with wedding photos but if a TM3er needs a secondary I'll be up for it.

If you need a real DJ that uses vinyls i know of one.

Last year ('07), I used:

Photographer: 5ive15ifteen, www.5ive15ifteen.com, expensive but amazing. You get what you pay for in photography.
Band: Starz Band featuring Liberty Silver, google them (best part of our wedding!)
Wedding planner: My wife, she's amazing and she's done about half a dozen other weddings before and after ours.
Banquet Facility: The Manor at the Carrying Place Golf Club, the best facility I've ever been to for a wedding. Food was incredible and very reasonably priced too including open bar!

For a florist, check out Heavenly Creations, they're located at Dufferin just north of Lawerence. They do an amazing job and are very accomodating to your budget.

As for a photographer, we used Mark Anthony Studios:

Main thing to remember is that even though someone has used a particular compnay select the one that suits your and the wife to be best in terms of preference, budget and service, what works for one doesn't always work for another. Good luck in the planning and remember to enjoy the day, congrats!

I'm using this photographer for mine. There will be 2 of them. A guy and his wife. So, they'll be able to capture everything. They did a friend's wedding and did a great job.

Our photographer was Judy from Elementz and her assistant. She did a phenomenal job, though seeing some of the work of some off the locals here, you probably can't go wrong with some of them, if they do weddings. If they don't normally do weddings though, then you may consider sticking with someone who normally does weddings. Someone might be a great photographer, but if they don't know the ins and outs of what people want from a wedding photographer, you may miss out on stuff you really wanted.

Recommendations are great for photographers but most also have websites now, so from the names already mentioned try googling them and look at their online portfolios with your fiance together and see who you prefer.

For the DJ, I'm using DJ Gee. his website isn't that good but he's a really nice guy and a friend of mine used him. So I feel good using him too. www.djgee.com

For flowers, I'm using Classy Flowers. I read some really good things about them plus my fiancee has seen their work while they were making flowers for other orders. www.classyflowers.ca

For cake, I'm using Irresistible Cakes. They have sooooo many designs and flavors. You can try all the flavors there if you like. Also, you can have every layer a different flavor. http://www.icakes.ca
