Yikes! Whiteout=bad idea. I would definitely use the pen over whiteout. I have a cwp and though the pen doesn't work great, it does the job.

Also if you have 1 or 2 rain falls the spot itsn't going to rust.

I bought my pen at Mazda for around 12 bucks with tax...comes with the paint applicator on one end and a clear coat applicator on the other end. Search for previous threads on the forums about the proper way to use the pen.

Good luck...

They teach u when using the pen.

1. Shake it for a minute.

2. Dab the paint onto a paper or cardboard or some kind of surface.

3. Use a toothpick or bbq skewer stick to apply after dipping the tip of it into the paint on the paper to avoid having that big nasty dab of paint

4. apply clear coat after waiting for it to dry

Im pretty sure this is how it should be done. I could be wrong. Doesn't hurt to search

Do you guys do this to every rock chip you get on the car?

I try to do it on mostly the metal stuff. The hook gets some neglect because once you fill one in, another one just pops up. The front bumper is not metal so you don't have to worry about it rusting. I have done a couple touch-ups on the bumper though too as it looked better with the chips filled in.

Ideally you want to fill every rock chip on metal surfaces.

White-out? That's definitely a new one!

I don't know the process would I fill in each rock chip with paint and then it could be 'buffed' to blend it all together and make the hood look like new?
