Need help with Vin number

1HGCP36888A038168 - 2008 Honda Accord I found for sale for $7000.00 ... something sounds fishy fishy .. If someone here could run a report I'd love to bust this guy !

I think I read that http://www.carfax.com is the place to go to find the info that you need. I suppose if nobody is able to help you out you would have to pay for it yourself. I thought I read somewhere else to that it's around $30.

If there is no indication it's local and there is no local phone number in the posting, it is most likely a scam.

Go to ministry of Trasportation, is it Dealer or Private sale. Can you call and ask, most likely its sold for that price. Could be damaged as well, not nescesarely scam

Either a number or two is incorrect or it has never been registered in Ontario. Did you get that number off of the VIN plate or the ownership?
