SO i know there is around 6,393,600 seconds until UFC 91, November 15th at 10pm...

But I am PSYCHED!

Anyone else awaiting captain america's return as much as me? Anyone think Lesnar is going to plough through him like he did Herring?

I think Randy will have his hands full with this one, way more than Gonzaga or Sylvia. He is also fighting a fellow wrestler which could turn into a boring 25 minute hug and slug fest on the ground if someone isnt dominating.

My prediction is that Randy will win by submission. He is too technical, and always finds his oponents weaknesses, and with lesnar, well... he has 0 jitz skill. Also if Couture can stretch this to the 4th round, I think Lesnar will gas, just like he started to in the 2nd round of the herring fight.

That being said, Lesnar is a beast and could put randy out in the 1st because of his size, athletic ability and strength...

What are your guys picks?

My head says couture, my heart says Lesnar. I'd love to see Couture get beaten, just to prove he should have never "resigned".

i'm going to say Lesnar by decision...Lesnars ground game isn't good...and you can be damn sure Couture has watched the video of Brocks last fight so I can't imagine he'll put himself in a position to get clipped....

I don't think Lesnar can last until a decision. I just don't think he has the attrition to make it that long. I think that Lesnar will probably win due to ref stoppage, as well.

the only how i don't think he makes it to decision is if he get submitted or he has a weak chin...or ref stoppage like everyone else thinks....i think he has the stamina though...he didn't look gassed after his last fight...and this one is MUCH more significant

Lesnar's inexperience is how he lost his first bout to Frank Mir and now, despite his training and win against Herring, he's facing a fighter who probably has the most experience in the UFC. Couture has been on both ends of a fight but his experience makes him the big time favorite. I'll say Couture in the first round. I agree that it would be poetic justice for him to lose because of his dispute. It's amazing what dangling dollars will do for your 'principles'.

I don't think he got much more money for this fight, I think there isn't much behind this. The whole situation seems pretty transparent. The UFC would have his contract locked up in the courts for years, just to make sure he didnt fight for anyone else.

since he is a fighter, and a 45 yearold one at that, he realized that duking it out in court is futile. the UFC has too much money for 1 guy to fight them and win.

I am pissed that the fedor fight didnt happen first though, that would actually be a well matched fight, whereas Lesnar is probably just going to donkey kong him into the mat. I just hope that is couture loses, he can break free of the UFC, or atleast they can do some cross promotion to get the fedor fight to happen, because that would be the fight of the century.

He resigned a new three fight contract, he's not going anywhere. As for the Fedor fight, Dana White won't agree to a cross promotion, his feeling is that Afflicition will run out of money, and Fedor will be a free agent again.

fedor couture is ACTUALLY worth watching....the best heavyweight MMA has *arguably* ever seen....vs the UFC's best....match designed in heaven

lesnar vs couture?.....can someone say cash grab....and this will probly be the only fight on the car where BOTH fighters get a handsome paycheck at the end of the nite

edit: Dana White is an idiot...Tito shoulda shut his dumb ass up

Fedor has always been hyped, but has he ever really faced the best competition? Beating lower tier opponents is easy.

As for Dana White, I disagree, I think he's brilliant. He has built the UFC to what it is today. He is both a brilliant businessman and an interesting personality.
