So I brought my car in for service, and the entire right side of my car has new scratches which were not there. I am talking on my left rear door, in front of my front door, and above the rear window, too. Can I do anything that will actually accomplish anything or should I just stop going to this dealer for service?

That sucks. Did you complain when you were there? That would be my first approach. Nonetheless, you should bring it to their attention as soon as possible. You will find a few posts here where people had their cars damaged by dealerships. You'll find that you will have to be persistent, and with a good approach and some luck, you may be able to have it fixed. Good luck.

I picked it up when they were closed and it was dark, so I didn't see until today (and they are closed).

Aren't you suppose to do walk around with them when you drop it off? Then when you pick up and see something take a picture.. Dont know if you can complain now though.

Isn't a walk around a bit much for an oil change?

Once I speak with them and see how they handle the situation, I will post the name.

You should always do a walkaround after getting your car back in your possession, regardless of service. I once took my Mom's vehicle in to get a trim replaced, and I ended up getting a new mirror out of it because I noticed it was damaged before leaving the lot. It's kind of sad really as you should be able to trust that your car will be cared for with the utmost attention, but either stuff can happen, or people are careless.
Do what you can do to protect yourself.
