Just some pics from CSCS to start...much more to come...

Highlights of the day:

1. SS FWD won by our very own Big Dad.
2. 3rd place in SS FWD was maplephin, stock MS3 with RT-615 fronts ONLY.
3. All 4 MS3 of DIFFERENT colours getting black flagged at the same time for general hooliganism...good show boys!

Not as many as last time, rain scared everyone away. Rained for most of the day and stopped just before we went out for our time attack. Big Dad made a great call and got us at the back of the run, so the track was starting to dry.

I still had my stock Potenza's, that are more liked shaved tire on the back and the grip from the 615's made the back end really, really twitchy. Didn't expect to finish as well as I did. Almost looped it on the out lap in corner 1:whoa

BTW Big Daddy ran his stock potenza's!!

remember your brakes from last time, I thought since you liked them like that so well I would join the club.
Near the end of the day, decided to put in some hot laps and boiled the brakes. I was passing Ian who has a Turbo Protege (really cool) and Fobio who was a passenger down the front straight.

When I got back in and on the brakes, well let's just say, what brakes!
They finally grabbed, but had to nurse the car back to the pits.
Weird sounds which Ian diagnosed as air in the caliper.

That MS Protege was a pretty sweet driving car...and it was in the blue colour that was US-exclusive....I took some videos while riding shot-gun...might have you passing us on it!

And yeah, Big Dad also had his RE050 to run in the wet...

Yours truly, believing the weatherman's prediction of 20% chance of rain, brought the best dry track tires: almost treadless RT-615's...in the wet with standing water, it felt like I was on a speedboat slapping across the waves when I was putting the power down...:loco

welcome to my club. When I first tracked my car last time I realized how grabby they were, me being an idiot kept stabbing htem harder & harder to go faster, after 2nd session the fluid boiled and they never felt the same since :loco. pads are probably partically glazed, I haven't taken them out yet.

Do you get that air pump sound when you pump the brakes when not moving? I have that too.. I think its air on fluid.

GO RE050 :D. look at the bright side, you wore down your almost treadless tires which you have to replace anyways = save money.

I saw them on the side of the 407, but was too far past by the time I realized who it was to stop. At that point I was just trying to stay awake from being up at 4:30 in the morning. Sorry I couldn't help out.

Yes, the same sounds as you. Definitely need to at the minimum bleed the brakes or better yet I'll change the fluid. Just trying to decide if I will change the pads at the same time.

we should of took a picture of the red evoX get towed out of the track....It was a hard day for a few cars out there but Mazda's Owned it! That lotus was also very nice!!!!

lapping was never free. We did have price half way through the day but not free. (Mind you half price of the pay at the track fee, not pre-reg fee)

What was free was gate admission. But anyone who keeps there receipt for gate admission will receive free admission on Oct. 5
