Just picked up NHL 09 ..can't wait to try the new multiplayer online - team vs team ... yeah thats 5 on 5 online play .. I can't believe how far they've come compared to the original EA NHL on my VIC 20 ...

If anyone has picked it up and is interested in playing ... hit my gamer tag fnkysht .... I'd also like to throw out the idea of a boys night tourney

LCD Projector and NHL 09 5 on 5 mash-ups ... beers and food !

hmmmm...i was going to buy it for PS3 but if we get lots of interest I'll make the purchase for 360 instead

I picked up the 360 on Friday and also picked up NHL 09, what a great game!! I love the be a pro mode & the graphics are fantastic! I have not had a chance to get online with it yet, but hopefully soon, just have to find the time.

i've decided i'm going to get it for PS3...i cancelled my live account since PS3 is free....still trying to figure out why i still have 360....:S

oh yeah....Gears of War and Halo...duh lol

lol...everything man. The be a pro mode is ridiculously amazing and the online portion is even better. You're able to make a hockey club with a bunch of friends or as such and start making ur way to the top. There's 15 divisions and i think at the end of it all EA is actually giving away a real cup. You have a 360 deg. skill stick(poke check), the stick lift and the one-handed deke. This is by far the best hockey game, and maybe the best sports game in my opinion.
It's a lot harder to score as well.

I have only played it for a little while, but it is a lot harder to score in 09 then in the previous years...

Now I have to find a cooler and a network adapter so that I can play for hours and hours...lol

I was thinking of trading NHL 08 and FNR 3, to get NHL '09 for $4.99...
