Sorry guys i guesed I introduced myself in the wrong thread. This one just appeared mayeb due to activation of the account.

Newho, I drive a sentra spec-v. Mods in sig. I've been seeing more and more of these ms3 on the road. I usualy steer far away from mazda but the numbers seem to kinda speak for themselevs. Any issues you can let em knwo about? I've heard your engine mounts use to be a weak link not entirely sure if that has been mixed.

I'm from oakville and there seems to be a high population on MS3 in the area. do any of you go to the drag strip at all. I know alot fo you guys go to the track, I can't keep on buying tires for thsi car so I tend to stick to the drag strip, also still working on dialing in the engine modifactions.

Anyways, see you guys around.

Mmm, spec-v... I wanted to get it when it first came out. But got a TL-S instead.
Well, Now i am in a MS3, and all I can say is that I absolutely LOVE the car.
I love the savage power (the torque at 3000rpm is very very exciting), and the turbo whistle is sooo sexy.

You will love the car if you ever get one!

Dread! Do you use the same username on gtasentra.net? If so, you're not the first to show interest/make the switch to Mazda...

I just bought my 08.5 3, and am a previous owner of a sentra. My username on gtasentra is silver bullet.

Anyways, welcome to the boards.

Dread, I just got my M3 Sport GT, and my brother has the 03 Sentra SER (not SpecV), and although his pulls from me slightly, he would MUCH rather have my 3. Overall the right, comfort level, looks (opinionated of course) and general enjoyment of driving are much better in the 3 he says. My take having driven both, the 3 is more refined, the SER feels to be more raw power, rides like a lumber wagon!
I can only imagine the MS3 is just a blast to drive! My last Turbo was a 87 Sundance with a 2.2 Turbo pushing 10psi boost, and taht was fun! lol
When I go Turbo again, its going to be the MS6, no torque steer...lol In the mean time I'll stick to rear wheel drive horsepower in the stangs! Everyday, I enjoy the 3!

Cheers!

SPEC-V was the car I almost went for. Even though the engine mounts seem wonky, the over car is put together stronger than SE-R. imho.

the engine mounts are fine on a spec-v... not trying to stir the pot but mazadaspeed3 is the car with the engine mount problem or atleast it had the issue with the engine mount problem. The spec has more issues to worry about then the negine mounts as long as you address them then the spec will last you.

i wouldn't compare a se-r to a spec-v tho. much different feel. The interior in the mazada is nice tho.

The s/c spec is quite fun to drive tho. Haven't lined up with a mazadaspeed 3 yet that would be interesting to see.
