This evening I noticed two idiots racing on the 401 Eastbound in Pickering. Some fella in a blue dead beat civic and another idiot driving a grey maxima. What bothers me the most is that they end up killing or putting other people at risk because of there own stupidity. If they want to race by all means go ahead as long as there isn't many drivers on the road. :flaming

oh damn, thats insane.. Now who owns that mazda3 in the picture, anyone?
People dont learn mistakes from other peoples mistake, so no matter how many street racers, ticketsm accidents, people will continue race, untill something bad happens, end up in the wheel chair, then they will think twice.

Street racing is just plain dumb..
But then again, the guy is stupid enough to make an abrupt movement while traveling in high speed.. Complete ignorance of automobile mechanics/physics
Tells a lot.
R.I.P. the passenger and the driver.
The other street racer needs to rot in the prison for a good amount of time.

This is the perfect example of how drivers don't think of the outcome of street racing. The insanity of the drivers i see redlining their cars and street racing on residential streets raises concerns of them losing control of their vehicle and either smashing into a tree or colliding with an oncoming car or a parked car. i see people street racing where ever i go especially on long industrial side streets that are poorly lit, i mean what if there is a bend and they don't see it in time then what? People just have to think before pulling these stupid stunts.

I would say don't race on the public streets, period. If people feel the need for speed, go to the track. That's why we have them.

I see people doing stupid stuff in parking lots and nearly hitting other cars/people. Stupidity knows no bounds.

i will admit i have raced once or twice but i look now and see all the accidents that happened from this. it sickens me to realize how retarded it can get. as for street racing laws. im not too sure about this but you all may agree. if you are going over 50 KM/HR over the limit and your doing it by yourself. how does that consider racing. i mean yea if your racing another person and you both get caught then you deserve it. but still 50 KM/HR over shouldnt be racing. it should be excessive speeding or soemthing. anyway i found this and was realizing we all gotta be careful because there are some retarded drivers out there that will do something stupid without you realizing and that causes fatalities. basically stop being stupid people and just drive to where your going. or cruise or whatever just dont street race.

I just read the article and it's terrible to see that people drive like this...sad to witness the aftermath.

Not to make light of the situation but how does the article go from major accident, 2 people dead, entire highway closed to someone cutting down a tree????? This is major news???? Coming up next, after this horrific crash, let's find out if we have a possible 'tree-napper' in our town"?!!

Yeah, I know what your saying but I'm sure there's been moments that everyone may have sped not necessarily racing someone but speeding just cause maybe your favourite song is on or just want to see how fast the baby can pick up. I just wanted others to understand that I personally don't mind people that race as long as there isn't anyone one the road which can cause a fatal disaster.

I'd mind, you can never tell who or whats around the next bend, or is about to cross the road.
