hay guys, just wanted to say that this was my first time out tracking and I was SERIOUSLY Impressed at the 3's out there!!!... I luckly didnt get passed by anyone, unforunetly got black-flagged when i passed my buddy(went into the grass)

Just got back from my mechanic, we changed out the rotors. The old rotors just didn't take to the new pads very well. The right one didn't have contact on about 1" around the circumference and the left wasn't much better. Peddle feels much better, so we shall see.

what happened to the original pad? what pads are you running now? did you cook the pads last time? (the sept event)

I'm on stock pads now and the strong inital bite are all gone, its about the same as the honda minivan now which i also drive.

after swapping to the HPS, as with maplephin, I've found the pedal feel have worsened from stock...hard to admit but it's true...I'll start up another thread to discuss this.

I posted a little bit about the brakes at the HP+ discussion, now I hope it's in the right spot!!

Ok, so after August & September, I killed the brakes at TMP.:chuckle

Heading down the front straight after passing Fobio (he let me) the peddle went to the floor. Thought I had broken a pad apart, but just boiled the fluid. Original pads, breaking apart badly on the front and cracked 1 on the rear.

soooo....time for new pads, fluid, (alas went cheap and didn't change rotors) Changed to HPS. Peddle still to floor, felt worse than original. Found out should have changed rotors and with new ones it feels much better.

As for yours feeling like a Honda Minivan, yuk! I would probably check the pads to see if they are glazed or have a lot of wear.

dunno about a cayuga map...but other kinda maps definitely make great power!:chuckle

definitely learned a lot tracking this yr...esp from chasing you guys around...CSCS Time Attack is also the cheapest way to get yourself officially timed on a track...albeit with hand-held stopwatches...
