ok so i was driving home from a volleyball game and sitting at a redlight and WHAMMMMM i got rearended by a older lady... lets leave race out of it LOL but yea got rear ended at a redlight.... so my bro reccommends me to check out this body shop called car aid customs... so i swing by and tell them what happened....so right away they took me in like family arranged a rental car and best of all they know how to treat a customer... so lets say a new rear bumper was given but how about a FREE front lip, FREE HID's and other perks.. yes seems too good to be tru but its for real... FREE front lip, FREE HID's and some new friends outta the process so just sharing my experience if u guys have any body work or insurance claims im telling u these guys are where u wanna go....

I'm sure members here will rather have their cars properly fixed than enjoy the perks you mention.

sure everyone would rather have their car fixed than get perks but just because he got a free lip and HIDs doesn't mean the shop is sketchy or they don't do good work...right now all it means is he got a free lip and HIDs

Probably because the charged his insurance company a ton to do the work.

Sounds like insurance fraud. I hope not, since those who do it are usually the ones to complain when their rates go up LOL

One thing I've learned is that if it seems to good to be true it usually is. Nothing is for free. I'd just like clarification on what he received and how he managed to get it. Was it an extra to the quote? Was it bundled into the insurance estimate? What is the quality of these "free" upgrades. I doubt a body shop would throw freebies like these at every person that walks in with repairs. It doesn't makes sense to me.

Except that a free lip and free HIDs, and labour costs more than advertising on this forum :chuckle

so the accident wasnt my fault, but yea they must have inflated the price alot to the insurance but that does not affect your insurance because u are not at fault... yea it prob screws that person that hit you... but yea i didnt have a front lip and HID's before i got hit and now i do...without a penny from my pocket sounds pretty free to me... ill post pics of before and after i get my car from the shop k guys you can see for urself.

You are partly right. Your rate doesn't go up but you forgot about the part that the garage defrauded your insurance company out of money by claiming repairs that didn't need to be done.

That affects everyone's rates because as we have seen in the past when the cost of insurance claims goes up we all get screwed over.

Congrats on the freebie then. But I wouldn't go around advertising on public boards that they gave you freebies by inflating the repair costs. That in the end is NOT good for their business if you "get my drift."

Yup, people like this are the reason insurance rates are so high. Dont complain if your rates go up Triniboi.... your part of the reason. It may not be out of your pocket directly, but you will pay for them in the end.

you guys are probably right but i think insurance companies are the biggest scam artists out there.... you pay them all year for a service and when you do need them they try to find every way possible and technical to not help you....when i get my shot to get back at them im taking it. sounds ignorant but i had a bad experience with my insurance company
