Mazda Dealerships.

The dealership will definitely have it but try and get the paint in bottle format, DO NOT GET the 'paint pen' since the pen does not work very well. Search on this site for the paint pen and you will see people's experiences have not been very positive.

I agree with Go_habs_go as the pen is def sub par compared to the brush. From what I've been told is that the Mazda Canada has switched to the pen ans the brush is no longer available at the dealership.

With the pens.. all you need to do is dab it into a cup or shotglass and dip either your toothpick or fine brush into it.

I have had both the touch up bottle paint and the pen from Mazda. If you ask me they both are equally bad. Maybe its me but its extremely hard to get a good paint job done with either one of them. I presently use the pen for any stone chips on the hood.

Personally, i think this post sums it up perfectly...start at the beginning of the thread.

i suggest spend the extra 15 bucks and get a touch up paint/brush (not pen) from the dealer. Nothing like factory paint. Cdn tire paint may not look exactly like OEM paint which may end up looking weird on the car.

I just got my first car (2014 mazda gs sport), still just around 1500km and I got my first scratch! Can tell you, never parking at Kipling station again. Anyways, it's a pretty deep scratch. Any recommendations? I think I have to go the touch up paint way but don't want it to look spotty :(

Dr. Color Chip.
Can fix light scratches and any stone chips on your hood.

About $50 shipped from FL.

Unfortunately I had already "treated" the chips with the crappy Mazda paint pen which reduces the effectiveness of the Colorchip, but it still made enough of a difference. Definitely worth the somewhat steep price.

Would be an alternative be picking paint that has been matched?
I've only heard of Napa in Newmarket.
Cawthra is another source I guess? Its a bit far.

Need somewhere in the Toronto/GTA Area to pick up paint to fix some stone chips. I have the Mazda Paint pen, but haven't tried it.

SKYMP3, which kit did you pick up? http://www.drcolorchip.com/store/basic-paint-chip-repair-kit.php

Any other sources to pick up materials/tools to fix stone chips? Will have to look at that drcolourchip in more detail later in the day.

The Basic kit is good enough...if you redo it for the second time, you can just buy the paint bottle...but not a huge price difference anway.
