Not sure if this will be useful to anyone but I wanted to move a table and couldn't find any cargo/trunk measurments for the 2008.5 Sport.

Here are my rough measurments...

http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w83/Moshi_photo/Mazda3/trunk.jpg

A. 62"
From rear of trunk to back of drivers seat (seat not moved forward set to comfortable position for a person 5'5" tall)

B. 40.5"
From side panel to side panel at the trunks narrowest part.

C. 28"
From the base of the trunk to the rubber moulding around the door at it's shortest part. (yellow line should be moved over to the right a bit.)

Oh and the slalom ski from the 90's is not mine.

Kool, good idea mang, this should probably be 'Stickied' for future reference...Anyone second that?

I'm not sure this belongs on this thread, but I'll post it anyway. One of the few faults I found with my 2010 Mazda3 sport is the luggage area lighting. The light on the side is really insufficient, or perhaps my mid 70's eyes aren't as good as they used to be. I solved this by adding a pair of dome lights to the trailing edge of the luggage cover. a cable with a plug is threaded along the right inside, where it connects to a socket wired to the original luggage compartment light. The plug and socket allows for quick removal of the cover when I convert my car to a "truck". I have a couple of pictures but can't figure out how to insert them.

Upload your picture from your computer to a website like tinypic, or imageshack then copy the provided link with the forum image coding around it
example - [ IMG ] url of your pic [ / IMG ]

minus the spaces of course.

Hey My Myotis, easiest way to show pics is load them up to a site like photobucket and then use the URL when replying in a thread.

Edit: beaten

Hi Mr Wilson,
Thanks for the help. I've uploaded my pictures to photobucket but when I try to download the pictures, all I get is the URL text.

When making a post on this site look above the text box that you are 'writing' in. You'll see a bunch of options like text size, bolt, font, etc. The fourth icon from the right that looks kind of like a picture frame. Click that and another window will pop up. Add the photo URL to this new screen and click enter. This site will configure your photo into the area you are writing in. Submit your reply and you're good to go.

Another attempt to paste my pictures. I go to the picture icon and enter the URL. Instead of a picture I get what I typed in. What am I doing wrong?
The following are my the results http:/photobucket.com/Mazda3cargospacelight

An image url will end with .png or .jpg or .gif, something like that.

What Hyperion said, the easiest way to always get it, is right click on the pic and go to properties (at the bottom), copy the "Address (URL)' and put it in the pic icon.

Your pictures are fine, good job.

As for your original question....well, us sedan owners know nothing :chuckle

Well, I see the pictures are there. Thanks for the help, everybody. Adding the lighting, was not much of a job and it was also very cheap. Less than $10 bucks for everything.

if you're not very tall, you can fit a 6 drawer Malm dresser, fully assembled in to the back.
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70103349/

picked it up on kijiji, sent my wife to pick it up. She's 5', if i had to go, it either wouldn't have worked, or have been the worst drive ever. Every time we go somewhere people are always "yeah that's not going to fit there."

Picked up 15 packs of those interlocking 4 piece foam square packs (25"x25") and a 7000W generator a couple days ago, they never thought that'd fit either.
