Starter ?

Anyone replaced starter in 2.3 ? My Solenoid died ....
Time to get new starter at only 90K km.....

Looks like it will take some time to replace that starter ..
( i replaced starters before any tips on this car ? )

I wonder how much is price tag on new one ...

Haven't changed one actually but looking at the manual its pretty simple, just a couple of connectors then the 2 starter bolts...just make sure you disconnect the negative battery terminal first. :chuckle

Have you tried calling any wreckers for the starter/solenoid? Some are open on Sundays and you might get lucky! :)

I think i will go with new aftermarket, or Rebuild one.....
Im afraid that it will die again beside my starter looks like bucket of rust.


do you have some picture of it or workshop manual by chance ?

I got mine replaced under warrantee. Out of curiosity I asked how much it would cost. He said about $800.

Mind you this was for a 2.0L

Probably not.... just like the altenator is not part of the power train....
