Got a damn ticket today !!

I parked to go to the damn dentist for 45 mins, and I come back and i get a damn ticket ... 40 dollars!!!!@!@ I was soo pissed, I even had a ***in parkin pass ticket on my dash.... damn pricks!, iam gonna fight this in court!!!!!!

who ever gave it to you was a real prick..i remember when i was parked in front of bestbuy and the security guy slapped a $100 ticket on my windshield while my car was idling:flaming all the cars in front of me never got a thing

I always set a court date for my parking tickets, but never get called.
I have two tickets from about two years ago and they never invited me to come to court.
I assume those tickets are canceled by now. :)

you should definitely book a court date and fight it, the system is so packed that the chances that the hearing will actually proceed is very slim. even if it does go on, the pig that gave u the ticket will prolly be a no show.

Whoa whoa whoa, why all the hate from everyone for cops - you parked in a fire zone, doesn't matter how many people are also parked there. You parked where shouldn't have - ever see a fire truck try to negotiate small areas?
That said, fight it, you won't get called! But don't get pissed at a cop when YOU did something wrong and got caught for it. Sorry, I'll step off the soap-box (and no, I'm not a cop or married to one :))

to be honest? they're just doing their job.
whether if you choose to park without paying or you park in a fire zone, you're running yourself the risk of getting a ticket. It was your choice no one else.

:flaming:complainno there not doing there jobs, there mostly pricks that dont have anything to do, ive noticed on more then one occasion that cops when ever they see new cars they pull them over and ticket them, theres a cop on my damn street , 20 cars pass by the stop sign he dosent stop them, then my dad stops at the stop sign for 2 seconds instead of 3 and he gets pulled over, got 150 $ ticket and insurance went from 340 to more then 500.... he has had a clean record for 10 years knock on wood, and the pig shows up at the court too.... Iam going to go to court for sure and fight this, its not about the money, its that I was parked where I should be parked , i had a parking pass till 10:45 and the ticket says 10:30 and no body else with the shit civics and 20 dollar corollas got a ticket,
any body know what i should say in court beside iam not guilty would be great help, iam super pissed right now

sorry for all the rants, it just pisses me off when these cops get paid to be so stupid, theres better things to do then go around giving tickets for no reason, they have no heart and just have a shitty day so they take it out on us, no wonder they wear the damn bullet proof vests, i wouldent be amazed if they got stabbed over a ticket.

if you have a parking pas stating your ok until 10:45 am and the ticket is written at 10:30 am would that not void the ticket? I would just explain "your honor, I purchased a parking ticket from this place*insert where you purchased it from* the ticket was valid from the time i bought it (state time) till 10:45. I parked in the appropriate parking area and at 10:30 while I was in the dentist I recieved a ticket. I had the stub in my dash where it was suppose to be. I'm not sure why I got a ticket but here is if my ticket stub proving I had paid till 10:45 and here is the officers ticket time stamped 10:30... be polite and respectfull and everything should go well. If your a rude and impolite then there not gonna wanna help you. Good luck!

I got one a while back. I paid the meter and got a receipt for the dash but from 4pm to 6pm I was supposed to park on the other side of the Danforth...Stupid me...The reason I got so mad (for a few minutes) and probably the reason why others get so mad is that if you are in the wrong, there's nothing you can do. I didn't read the sign.

That being said, as I returned to the car, the guy had already called the tow truck. I got there in time. They can't tow or issue a ticket if the owner is in or at the vehicle. He was a prick for calling the tow truck so fast.

I saw something very interesting yesterday... A Town of Richmond Hill parking enforcement officer drove by my house and he stopped by a car that was parked on the road. He got out, and put something on the top of the vehicles front tire. I said to myself "what the hell is this guys doing?"....

After giving it some thought, it dawned on me... He's gonna come back in a couple of hours and if the "item" is still on the tire, he's going to ticket the owner (i guess at that point the vehicle would have exceeded the maximum allowable time parked on the street).

well from when i've seen them do it, or seen a car that has been chocked all it is, is the officer takes a pieces of chalk and marks the side wall of your tire. could be front, rear or both.....if he comes back in X amount of time and see's the chalk marks still there then he knows you've been there at least a certain amount of time and he can now give you a ticket... if you drive away before he comes back after X amount of time then you don't get ticketed becasue you were within the parking limits...I've mainly seen them use it in busy downtown parking lots here in kitchener and waterloo.

And they use chalk so that when it gets wet it washes off and you can't complain that they defaced your car etc...

i went to wasaga for the day and if you park more then two hours and dont put more money in. it costs 50$ ticket. its soo gay. i got one. and so did my buddy WHILE HE WAS SLEEPING IN HIS CAR. sad i think so.

I think it's the sad reality we live in these days. Many municipalities are mismanaged and they need to make up for the difference in funding, remember the computer leasing fiasco we had a couple of years back, guess who gets to foot the bill.

ye the pass says till 10:45 but i got a ticket at 10:30..... I just found out I have to pay 10 bucks for court fees..... ohh maa lord, for 40 dollars the shit this pig is putting me through, what a waste of my time.
