View Full Version : Buying oil yourself vs buying dealer oil

Alright, so I take it few people here use the stock Mazda synthetic - is it junk?

I was leaning towards Mobil1 since I want something high-quality without being incredibly exotic. I can buy the oil myself or Scarboro Mazda has stated they can order it for me - it's the same price as if they used their mazda synth.

Anybody know if it's cheaper one way or the other? Any benefits to either side of the argument? Should I just get them to order it in?

Any help is appreciated.

It helps to give an idea on the different groups of oil along with how & why they are grouped that way. It may help you make the decision on which oil to go with.

Good luck.
