Does anyone play the PC version of this game? My daughter wants to try it out and apparently you need an invite for a 3 day trial. If anyone plays and can invite...please let me know. Thanks.

I looked through my Steam program and on the website and I don't see an invite option for CS:S? Steam is the shell program that runs CS:S and many other games.

Anyway it's a $20 game if you buy it as a standalone. Does your daughter like multiplayer gaming? Does she like first-person-shooters?

I've had the game for a few years and found that it's fun if you play online with your friends as a team. I'm on a team with a private server and play competitively in the OGL, which is like a beer-league. I barely play it offline or on my own in a public server.

Remember, if you play in a public server there will always be really good players or cheaters bullying lesser skilled players.
