Should be decent if you're going to use them for your maps. It would depend on the colour too; I would recommend white.

Yea red isn't going to be very bright...you're probably not even going to be able to read a map.

I've seen red in a few cars on the U.S. forum. The consensus is they look great but they aren't functional.

I got a white LED kit from Dabears2k (I'm not posting the link as I don't know if I'm "allowed" to post non-sponsor site, so PM for it (can someone also tell me if I can too :)). The white light is MUCH brighter than the stock lights, and looks much cleaner too. I'll try and take some photos tomorrow (it's raining hardcore at the moment)...

Since it is also a "white" light, it is much less straining on the eyes in the dark, so it doesn't bother me when they are on.

Go ahead and put it up. Being a sponsor means a company can post here to make sales.... nothing prevents members for putting up stuff they find to be a good deal!

^ I got the same thing but I don't really find it that bright. I can't believe they charged ten bucks when the actually shipping was like $1.50 or something (but I guess that's the norm). These guys are making a killing. The LED's must cost like 10 bucks max.

I would try ordering superbrightled.com http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/commerce.cgi?product=CAR perhaps do a group buy.

Question: A Few months ago, I replaced my trunk light, but accidently, the socket, popped out of it's holder. So now, it's loose. Does anyone know how to pop the socket back in it's holder? A little help, I'll treat them to coffee. :)

if this is the same problem as I had. I had to fish out the wire/harness with a set of needle nose pliers. I then changed the LED, and used the pliers to hold the holder while I popped it back in.

+1 colored ones are nice but you can't see anything with them, white ones are nice AND functional :)
