I'll be heading to NYC for christmas with the GF and another couple. My buddy and his gf are going to go see the play "Wicked" (they wanted to see it in Toronto but missed it). I don't want to intrude on their plans, so my gf and I are going to see another play .... the only problem is we know nothing about broadway plays ....
Any recommendations? I heard Spamalot is a good one, and apparently In the Heights is also good.
Or should we just forego the whole broadway experience and do something else?
Thanks guys.

SPAMALOT KICKS ASS!
If you don't get Monty Python type humor than stay away. If you're in NYC you should take in a play. It's not as expensive as you think either. There is a same day kiosk (Used to be in Time Square) where you line up at 1:00 pm to get tickets half price for that nights show. The wife and I did this for SPAMALOT, Drowsy Chaperone and Chorus Line.

DON'T forgo the experience! It's a must when you go to NYC!
I hear Wicked is well...."wicked"! :chuckle
I saw Stomp last summer (hated it), Rent in the spring (loved it) and Mamma Mia last month (was ok...my Dad loved it amazingly enough). There are lots of musicals to choose from, so I'm sure you'll find something you'll enjoy. The ticket kiosk is still at Times Square. Don't be intimidated by the line length - it moves really fast! Here's the link....

Have fun and don't forget to check out F.A.O. Schwartz! Love that store.

Thanks, Trick!
I doubt sold out shows like "Wicked" will appear at the kiosk, but like you said, there is so much selection we're bound to find one we like.

I saw Spamalot in TO, and it was hilarious. I have never seen MP, and I laughed my ass off the whole time. I definitely suggest it.
When I went to NYC, I went to see Rent, and it was pretty good. Other than that, I don't really know what's playing down there. I went last year, and the Blue Man Group was there... I've always really wanted to see them, and my parents said they're incredible, if that's the kind of show you'd like...
